My husband took a study break today and said he wanted a Starbuck's Frappuccino, but he didn't want to spend the time and money to go and get one. So I got out the blender and we came up with our own recipe. It was so easy to make and took less than 5 minutes. We are not big coffee drinkers. In fact I don't even like coffee icecream because it tastes too much like coffee, but this was really good. I used Taster's Choice instant coffee stick packets that I had gotten as free samples. I used one per recipe, but if you are a big coffee fan you might like to use two. We used Hazelnut and Vanilla flavors. I also used french vanilla hot cocoa mix. This recipe is an inexpensive and quick way to make a delicious luxury drink at home.
Ingredients:
1 Taster's Choice stick packet instant coffee (flavor of choice) 1 Tbsp. water 2 cups ice 2 - 3 Tbsp. sugar 1 cup half and half 1 packet hot cocoa mix 1. Dissolve instant coffee in 1 T. water. 2. Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth. 3. Pour into glasses and serve with whipped cream and chocolate syrup if desired.

I am not a coffee drinker so this is a hard question for me to answer. I only use 1 packet of instant coffee when making this because I don't like coffee so I make it weak. If you are a regular coffee drinker, you may want it a little stronger. As far as substituting brewed coffee for instant, you could start with a little maybe 1/4 cup or 1/2 cup and see how you like the flavor. If you want it stronger, add more. You should leave out the water if using brewed coffee and might need to add more ice to thicken it. Enjoy your frappe and let me know how it turns out.
