Disclosure: I have been compensated by Global Influence, however, all opinions are my own. My life pretty much revolves around three amazing little boys. When I ask myself who do I #FeelBeautifulFor they are the first faces that pop into my mind. Motherhood is beautiful. It's full of bumps and bruises and hugs and kisses and ---love. The most beautiful legacy I can leave my children is to love them, unconditionally. When I think about leaving a beauty legacy for the women and girls in my life, I hope they see me as a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. I think women have a special nurturing quality which makes them naturally loving and compassionate, essential to the greatest calling on earth, motherhood. I hope that my biggest legacy is that of a loving mother. Visit the Dove Beauty page on Walmart’s website to see what Dove is doing to help build girls’ self-esteem, hear what other women have to say about their beauty legacy, and to see great deals on Dove products. I also want to instill in my children a legacy of service. I believe it is an essential element to building self-esteem. I listened to an inspiring audio recording in the car last week, Raising Amazing Children by Matthew Kelly. He emphasized the importance of teaching children to serve others and how this has an impact on self-esteem. At this busy point in my life, I can't make big time commitments to serve others, but I can serve others in small ways in my daily life. I can make a meal for a new Mom, watch a friend's child for an hour, or even help an elderly neighbor with his groceries. Children are always watching and learning and modeling. I want my children to observe me helping others and grow up with sense of responsibility to serve others too. As they grow older and can volunteer in a much larger capacity, I think it will be a positive in their self-esteem development. What could be more beautiful than a legacy of love and service? Who do you feel beautiful for? Be sure to share the #feelbeautifulfor hashtag on your social channels. Disclosure: I have been compensated by Global Influence, however, all opinions are my own.
