We all feel this way sometimes. There are too many things to do and not enough time to do them. The laundry, bills, cleaning, reading to our children, cooking, playing with our children (some of these are actually fun) all take our time and we feel spread so thin that we can't even take a moment to just BREATHE. The Faith Hill song comes to mind, we have it on karaoke...maybe something fun to do later. Actually, the song is a great reminder that we all need to take a moment to just breathe.
A couple of months ago, I went through the Make Over Your Mornings course and learned some practical tips to help me prepare for my mornings so that they would run more smoothly in our house, thus helping me to be more relaxed and just breathe.
I then wrote a post "5 Tips to Help Improve Your Mornings" sharing some things I implement in our home to help our mornings run more smoothly.
I went out of town this weekend with my boys and had so much preparation and packing to do that I neglected to do the dishes that were actually from the night before. When we came home from our trip and I had spent almost 6 hours driving, the last thing I wanted to see was a sink full of dirty dishes. But there it was looking rather unpleasant and smelling even worse. I made myself do the dishes because I didn't want to wake up to this unfinished chore which would put me in a grumpy mom mood to start the day. I am so glad I did because now when I wake up in the morning and start breakfast I will have a clean kitchen and my children will have a happier mommy.
I am not perfect. Some days are harder than others, but if I prepare for my morning the night before I am a much more pleasant Mommy because I have time to breathe.
Want to try the Make Over Your Mornings course for yourself? It is on sale for one day, August 25th, for just $10! Plus there is a 100% money back guarantee.
