The boys and I made some Easter bunny rolls today from our favorite bread machine buttery roll dough. Honestly, I think they look like cat ears, but the boys are very excited about them and are quite convinced that they look like bunnies.
We shaped the roll dough into balls then cut ears with kitchen shears.
We used the large end of a chopstick to try and make eyes. The eyes tended to lose shape as the bunnies baked, so big eye holes are best.
I put little balls of dough on my second batch to create tails, but most of the tails fell off during baking. This one turned out really cute.
Happy Easter! I would love to hear what you are making. Anything fun and festive?
