Calorease is a weight management supplement that can help reduce excess calories from fat in an average diet.  I have been taking Calorease for several weeks and will share my experience.  First, here is how it works.
How Does Calorease Work?

"Calorease contains a naturally sourced dietary fiber derived from corn, which is called FBCx.  Typical dietary fibers bind to dietary fat at an approximate 1:1 ratio.  This small ratio makes common dietary fibers impractical as a weight loss aid; one would have to consume excessive amounts of typical fiber to have any effect.  But FBCx is different.  It is patented because it is the only soluble dietary fiber that can bind with and eliminate up to nine times its own weight in dietary fat.

The process works like this.  Humans cannot absorb fat without it being digested first.  A digestive enzyme called lipase processes fat droplets into smaller fragments called fatty acids in the small intestines.  These fatty acids are absorbed, then reassembled within the body to form fat.  When FBCx binds with and coats the fat droplets, they become resistant to this process so that the fat cannot be digested or absorbed.  Instead the FBCx/fat complex passes through the intestines and is eliminated as waste. At first, I was apprehensive about taking a weight loss supplement.  However, I was offered this review through Moms Meet.  As a Moms Meet Mom Ambassador and blogger I receive opportunities to try eco friendly, organic, and healthy products.  I knew that Calorease had to be safe if it was being offered for review through Moms Meet.

I have been taking Calorease 1 to 2 times a day, except when we travel.  I don't need to lose much weight, only about 10 pounds so I have been taking it less frequently.  In addition, if I am consuming a meal containing mostly healthy fats like real butter, olive oil, or avocado, I do not take Calorease.  I want to digest the healthy fats because they are an important nutrient that your body needs to function properly.

The first few times I took Calorease, I experienced some minor cramping and had to use the restroom fairly soon after eating.  I then started taking my probiotic with it and these symptoms no longer occurred.

Overall, my experience with Calorease has been positive.  I haven't lost weight yet, but I have been taking Calorease less than the recommended 3 times a day.  Also, I did not take it when we traveled and we were out of town 3 weekends in the last month.  I think I can reach my weight loss goal with Calorease, exercise, and a balanced fat-containing diet.
Just the facts (from Calorease)

• It’s easy to use Calorease. Simply take two tablets with a fat-containing meal three times a day. But stay consistent for the best results.

• If taken as recommended, results can be seen in about 2-3 weeks. Keep in mind that Calorease is not a license to overeat, nor is it a magic bullet for quick weight loss.

• There is no program or special diet involved with taking Calorease. A reasonable, balanced and nutritious fat-containing diet is recommended.

• Calorease does not contain gluten, lactose, yeast, wheat, sugar, salt, egg, soy, dairy, artificial colors, sweeteners or preservatives.  It is naturally sourced from grain and is suitable for vegans.

• A convenient blister pouch provides 1 serving (2 tablets) so it’s easy to take on the go.  A 90-tablet pack of Calorease retails for $29.99.

Hi Barb,

I am sorry I don't know that answer as I wrote this post 6 years ago, but I did a little searching online and found the calorease facebook page. Although it looks like it hasn't been updated in awhile. If you look on amazon for calorease, it will show you similar products. I don't know if calorease is still manufactured or not.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
