Zulily is having an incredible sale on Crocs. My son's new preschool is requiring that the students keep a pair of inside shoes at school. They suggested flip flops or slippers so I ordered a new pair of crocs for him tonight for only $12.99 (regular price $30) plus I used coupon code FAMILY10 and saved 10%. There is another coupon code GA3964 to save $5 off of a $50 purchase. This sale is available until 8/22/11 or until supplies last. They have many adult and childrens styles. Zulily offers great deals on childrens and womens apparel and shoes and home accessories. It is worth checking out.
Thanks For the Mommas for the coupon codes.

I stopped in to pick up a prescription today and get the Pampers deal and noticed several items were 75% off in the toothpaste aisle. Several Crest Pro-Health for me items were clearanced at 75% off including toothpaste, mouthwash, and battery operated toothbrushes. I bought the toothpaste for $0.84 each and used a $0.50 and $0.75 off coupon making them only $0.34 and $0.09 each. The Colgate Wisps are on clearance for $0.64 each.
There is also a pampers deal worth checking out this week. Pampers are priced at $8.99 and you get $3.00 Extra Care Bucks with purchase (limit one per household). Use a coupon and get an even better deal. I used a $2.00 off coupon which makes the diapers $3.99.
I found this recipe at Heavenly Homemakers and it is really good. It is a healthier makeover of rice krispie treats. I was out of Rice Krispies, so I used corn flakes and they worked perfectly.
1 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
1/2 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups Crispy Rice Cereal or corn flakes
In a saucepan, melt and stir the peanut butter and honey together. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Stir in cereal. Spread in a 9×9 inch square pan and allow to cool. I put them in the fridge to harden.
This is really easy and makes a neat dessert display for a baby or wedding shower. My friend had a little girl, so I used pink marshmallows.
You will need:
1. Wrap the empty box with wrapping paper and set aside.
2. Melt the chocolate.
3. Alternate marshmallows and blueberries on each skewer.
4. Dip the marshmallow that is on the end of each skewer in the melted chocolate, then roll in sprinkles. Lay on parchment or wax paper lined baking sheets to let the chocolate harden. Put cookie sheets in the freezer to finish hardening chocolate.
5. When finished, push each skewer (pointed end first) into the wrapped box to create your dessert display.
I was sent a pair of Sprout Change training pants to review. They are similar to cloth diapers except that they work like pull-ups. Your potty training child can easily pull them up and down and you can unsnap the sides to change your child if there is an accident (So much easier than underwear!).
I like these training pants because they are really absorbant and waterproof. You don't have to worry about wet car seats or messy leaks when you are out and about. I did notice my son was sweaty in them the other day, but it was in the high 90's and he had been playing hard. They are probably hotter than underwear, but not any hotter than cloth diapers. My little guy loves wearing them. He refers to them as his training pants and feels like such a big boy in them.
We have been potty training for a long time, about a year. I read somewhere that the average length of potty training time for boys is 10 months. I hate to think of how much money I have spent on disposable pull-ups. Buying a few of these training pants is an investment up front, but will save a lot of money and landfill space in the long run. The Willow Pads website says, "
If you are looking for an easy pant to use for potty training this is it. I love the way they open at the sides for easy changing. (There will be accidents.) I wish I would have known about these pants a year ago. Since these are waterproof, my son could have worn these pants to preschool instead of having to wear pull-ups, thus saving us a lot of money.
General Information from the Willowpads website:
One-size training pants that fit, when you need them to! Perfect for containing those accidents when your toddler is learning, and great for overnights. Waterproof PUL keeps clothes dry. Pull-on for independent kids, snap off in case of accidents.

We love this BBQ sauce. We have used it on BBQ chicken on the grill. It is great on whole pieces or boneless skinless pieces. I keep some in the fridge for everyday use. The kids love it with chicken nuggets and my husband uses it on any kind of meat. This is adapted from food.com.
2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
6 -8 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
2 tablespoons molasses
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1. Combine ketchup, brown sugar, lemon juice, zest, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, onion powder, and pepper in a nonreactive saucepan. Whisk to mix.
2. Let the sauce gradually come to a simmer over medium heat and simmer until thick and flavorful, 8 to 10 minutes.
3. If not serving the sauce immediately, let cool to room temperature, transfer to an air tight jar, and refrigerate until serving.
