5 Tips to Help you Live Beautifully

I don't have much time for primping in my busy schedule, but I have learned a few things over the years that have simplified my beauty regimen and helped me to feel youthful and attractive.

  • Drink lots of water.  I don't know how much water I drink in a day, but I have to refill my bottle several times throughout the day.  I rarely drink pop or other sugary drinks, avoiding a lot of unnecessary chemicals and sugar.
  • Moisturize your neck.  When I was in college I was in a local modeling agency.    A woman at the agency instructed me to moisturize my neck daily.  She said that your neck ages faster than your face and that when you moisturize your face you need to moisturize your neck too.
  • This one is for the blue eyed girls.  If you have blue eyes, wear navy blue mascara.  I read in a beauty magazine that several blue eyed celebrities including Goldie Hawn wear blue mascara to open up their eyes and give them a more youthful look.  I have been wearing blue mascara for years.  To look more natural, I wear navy blue mascara.  Bold blue colors can be fun, but look unnatural.
  • Use cotton tipped swabs to remove mascara from your eyelids and under your eyes.  If you have long eyelashes like me, I'm sure you have experienced mascara rubbing on your eyelids or under your eyes.  Simply rub a cotton swab over any renegade mascara.  If you have not set your makeup with powder, it comes right off.
  • Wash your hair every other day instead of every day.  I have been washing my hair every other day for years.  My hair is healthier and it saves me time and money.
