Tonight I am thankful that I get to stay home with my children and spend so much time with them. I am thankful for all of the memories that we are creating and the teachable moments that occur in daily life.
My three year old went shopping with me at ALDI this afternoon and as we approached the bagging counter, he started to climb out of the cart and onto the counter. I thought oh no, not again. (On a previous trip to ALDI he climbed out of the cart and onto the bagging counter and ran the legnth of the counter until I captured him and returned him to the cart.) Today I quickly pushed the cart away from the counter and stood between the counter and the cart. I opened one of our reusable shopping bags and asked Bruce to put the groceries inside. He loved it and forgot all about trying to escape the cart. He sat in the large portion of the cart and bagged all of our groceries. He did a great job with very little assistance. I am thankful for my helpful little shopper and his enthusiasm for bagging groceries. If you would like to participate in 30 Days of Giving thanks, you can link up your posts at Blessed Beyond Words.
