I made Sloppy Joes and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies today so I needed to use some brown sugar, only my brown sugar was hard as a rock. I needed to add moisture to the sugar so that I could break it up and measure it for each recipe.
This is really easy to do. Simply cover your brown sugar with a couple of damp paper towels, then seal your bowl with plastic wrap. Microwave at 30 second intervals until your brown sugar is soft and breaks apart.
