I am so behind on posting our menus.  We did some traveling, then I got strep throat and now I am busy helping with Vacation Bible School.  Here is a list of our menus for the past month.  I will provide links to recipes whenever possible.  I hope this helps give you some ideas.  Feel free to share your favorite recipes and menu plans in the comments.  I love to try new recipes.  

Monday:  Grilled Flat iron steak, grilled potatoes and onions, sliced tomatoes with balsamic vinegar
Tuesday:  Brats and hotdogs, baked beans, cantaloupe
Wednesday:  Beef and broccoli stir-fry with rice
Thursday:  Preschool picnic
Friday-Sunday:  We were out of town


Monday-Tuesday:  We were out of town
Wednesday:  Thai peanut rice noodles with chicken and peas
Thursday:  Spaghetti and meatballs with breadsticks (I have been successfully making these breadsticks without a bread machine since mine is broken.  I will post a recipe soon.)
Friday:  leftovers
Saturday:  Pork Schnitzel, apple sauce, red cabbage
Sunday:  BLT salad


Monday:  Barley and mushroom soup with ham
Tuesday:  Pizza
Wednesday:  leftovers
Thursday:  BBQ chicken, baked beans, grilled carrots
Friday:  Butter beans, Chicken nuggets, zucchini chips
Saturday:  Slow cooker chicken and rice, steamed broccoli
Sunday:  Grilled cabbage, macaroni salad, brat burgers and grilled hot dogs


Monday:  Panko crusted Tilapia, leftover chicken and rice, spinach
Tuesday:  Grilled flank steak (made with olive oil instead of veg. oil), grilled carrots, tomato caprese salad, basmati rice with onion and ginger 
Wednesday:  Slow cooker ham and beans, cornbread
Thursday:  Pizza, tomato salad
Friday:  Baked rice, honey chicken kabobs
Saturday:  Dinner out for my birthday

Tuesday:  Grilled brats and hot dogs, Hot German potato salad, spinach with garlic chips, lemon cake
Wednesday:  Shrimp Risotto, Tomato Caprese Salad
Thursday:  Lazy Cabbage roll casserole, buttered green beans
Friday:  Chicken tenders, french fries, butter beans
Saturday:  takeout pizza
Sunday:  Tomato soup, grilled cheese

Wednesday:  Homemade pizza on breadstick crust and salad
Thursday:  Waffles, strawberries, bacon
Friday:  Dinner out (Thanks Tim and Jordan for babysitting and feeding our kids!)
Saturday:  Roasted cabbage, sausage, onions, zucchini and asparagus, Irish Soda bread
Sunday:  Salad, Spinach and Cheese ravioli, garlic bread


Monday:  Hamburgers, sweet potato fries, corn on the cob
Tuesday:  Fresh green beans cooked with diced ham, macaroni and cheese
Wednesday:  Slow cooker country chicken stew, rolls
Thursday:  BBQ chicken thighs, corn on the cob, baked beans, potato salad
Friday:  pizza while working at my son's school yard sale
Saturday:  pizza again (tired from working school yard sale)
Sunday:  Spinach dinner salad with avocado, tomato, and chicken

Monday:  Sausage gravy and biscuits, Pan seared asparagus, oranges
Tuesday:  Beef in Red Wine and Mushroom sauce, Egg noodles, green beans, sliced tomatoes
Wednesday:  BBQ pork, potato salad, baked beans
Thursday:  leftover BBQ on homemade slider rolls, roasted asparagus
Friday:  Split pea and ham soup
Saturday:  Leftover soup, Italian bread sandwiches

It's starting to feel like Spring.  It's been warm and rainy here.  Here are a few simple ideas to add to your menu plan for the week.

Monday:  Chili
Tuesday:  Macaroni and Peas
Wednesday:  Honey lime shrimp, rice, steamed artichokes
Thursday:  Pork au jus, leftover rice, stuffing, rolls, salad
Friday:  Potato skins, corn and black bean salad, hamburgers
Saturday:  Steak, asparagus, leftover corn and black bean salad, grape tomatoes
Sunday:  dinner out

We were out of town for Easter and I am still catching up so here is a really late menu plan.  

Monday:  Crockpot beer chicken, homemade bread, black bean and corn salad, beets
Tuesday:  Homemade tortilla chips, salsa, potato salad, hot dogs, sliced tomatoes
Wednesday:  Sliced tomatoes, Roasted cabbage, zucchini and onions with turkey smoked sausage
Thursday:  We were traveling and made chef salads to go and PB & jelly for the kids along with fresh veggies for snacking.
Friday-Sunday:  We were out of town for Easter.

We visited with relatives for most of last week so I had a really long break from cooking and meal planning.  Thank you Aunt Eleanor and Jennifer for the wonderful meals.  We had a great time and enjoyed the good food.  

Monday:  Leftover Turkey noodle soup, salad
Tuesday:  Slow cooker lasagna, bread machine Italian bread, salad
Wednesday:  traveling (fast food)
Thursday:  Hot dogs, macaroni, peas
Friday:  Pizza, breadsticks, salad
Saturday:  Italian beef, roasted asparagus, Hot German potato salad
Sunday:  Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Corned beef and cabbage with carrots and potatoes

Here are some menu ideas for the week.  Have a wonderful week with lots of yummy meals.  

Monday:  Roasted Asparagus, mashed potatoes, tri-tip roast, cooked apples (My Mom made the apples from frozen apples she harvested from her apple trees last fall.)  They were delicious.  
Tuesday:  Roast turkey, bread machine buttery rolls, swiss sauce cauliflower, baked sweet potatoes
Wednesday:  Wow Wednesday at church
Thursday:  boys had scrambled eggs and toast, we had sandwiches on bread machine Italian bread and salad
Friday:  Take out fish tacos and fish burritos
Saturday:  Shrimp and garlic chow mein noodles
Sunday:  Turkey Noodle Soup, beer bread

I didn't cook much last week because we traveled over the weekend.  When we were home we had simple meals.  Sometimes it's nice to slow down and live simply.
